Miscellany

Well, the class I was going to teach was canceled due to low enrollment. It's disappointing, but it's a bit of a relief, too. My work load has been very heavy for the past several months, so putting the class together was getting stressful. I now have more preparation time, as I'm going to try again next semester. The class has a much better chance to make it in the spring, so I look forward to another chance. I did teach the first class meeting, which was a good experience. I'll know what to expect the next time around.

After almost a week of brutal heat, the last few days have been beautiful. I'm going to try and hit Laguna Beach on my free Fridays as long as this nice weather lasts. Working a 4/10 work week definitely has its advantages.

I'm not really in the mood to rant about it today, but I definitely have some things to say about Elvira Arellano and Felipe Calderon. I find their audacity infuriating; I'll leave it at that for now.

Last weekend, my cousin Scott married his longtime girlfriend Lisa. A few shots from that day:

The happy couple

Extended family

La familia

Get a room

Fergusons always add to the fun

Smiles all around

Good friends

Showin' the youngin's how it's done
