Insight into Obama's Thinking

A July, 2007 quote from Barack Hussein Obama regarding the appointment of Supreme Court Justices:

"We need somebody who's got the heart, the empathy, to recognize what it's like to be a young teenage mom. The empathy to understand what it's like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old. And that's the criteria by which I'm going to be selecting my judges."

So, if you're not a younger, white, middle-class-to-rich, straight male in this country, you deserve empathy. Translation: if you're not all of the above, you're a victim in our society, and you need the government's help.

Get ready for activist judges whose compassion (i.e. emotion) and personal biases dictate their decision-making, as opposed to constructionist judges
who follow the law of the land, the U.S. Constitution.

If I could somehow shed my white skin and trade it for that of a black, wheelchair-bound lesbian, then maybe I too would be able to empathize? This is what's wrong with society. We just need to feel more and think less.
